Pagoda Lariat

This is a multi-component project. Students will learn to make herringbone rope and chenille stitch rope using size 11 seed beads. Beaded “pagoda” shaped components will be made using superduos, size 11 seeds, 2mm crystal rondelles and petal beads, or any similar pressed glass dangle. The beaded bead is filled with a 12mm bead of the student’s choice (fire polish, pearl, etc). Students will learn how to attach the components together to form the lariat.

Please note that project will not be completed in the time slot allotted, but students will have the skills to complete at home.

Barbara Falkowitz a former co-owner of Artful Beads. She has dabbled in many crafts, but has found her true love in beading. Barbara has been beading for “decades”, but has been hooked on seed bead weaving for over 15 years. Along with having her designs published many times in Beadwork magazine, Barbara was Designer of the Year 2015 in that same magazine. Barbara loves sharing her passion for beads and her teaching reflects this.

Kits will not be available for this class.

A 10% discount will be offered to class registrants for Trunk Show items.
