Local Spotlight Workshops

The South Jersey Bead Society is pleased to announce a new workshop program called “Local Spotlight Workshops”.  This program is intended to draw on the plethora of talent within our membership by giving willing participants the opportunity to share their beading knowledge and expertise with other members.  In order to qualify for this program, the following criteria must be met:

  • 1.     You must be a member in good standing.
  • 2.     You must demonstrate expertise in the technique(s) you want to teach.
  • 3.     You must submit the following:
  •     a.     A completed application
  •     b.     A high quality picture of your project for the website and Facebook
  •     c.      A list of the contents and cost of the project kits if you will be selling them
  •     d.     A supply list for the class
  • 4.     The project you would like to teach MUST be your original design.
  • 5.     You must agree to display a sample of your project at the monthly meeting prior to the scheduled month of your workshop.  (ex. If you are teaching in March, then you must have your sample on display at the February meeting).

Approval of the above criteria will be determined by the SJBS Board of Directors and the Programs Committee.  Payment to the instructor will be within 14 days after the workshop is completed.  Monetary compensation for teaching will be allotted on a per student basis.
